Is This You?

Who Is This For?

Who This Is For:

  • You own a Texas business doing $1M or more a year in revenue.
  • You find out what you owe in April, when it's too late to change it.
  • Your preparer files a correct return every year but never plans the next one with you.
  • Your books, your payroll and your return sit with three different people who never talk to each other.
  • Your entity and the salary you pay yourself were set up years ago and nobody has re-checked them since.
  • You want one team to plan the year, run the books and payroll, and file the return that shows it.
  • You want this year's moves made before December 31, not explained in April.

This Is Not For:

  • Businesses doing under $1M a year in revenue.
  • Employees and individuals who only need a personal return filed.
  • Anyone who only wants a one-off tax return and nothing else during the year.
  • Owners looking for moves that wouldn't hold up if the IRS asked about them.
  • Owners who want a list of ideas but don't want anything changed in their books or payroll.

100% Done-For-You

Here's Everything We Do For You

Here's how Mohsin and his team plan your year, carry it out every month and file the return that shows it.

Your Last 3 Returns Reviewed

We go through your last 3 years of returns next to this year's numbers and check the 4 blind spots Mohsin looks for in every business: the entity, retirement, missed deductions and timing.

Entity And Owner Pay Fixed

If your entity structure is costing you, we restructure it, and we move your own pay onto a payroll schedule that holds up as reasonable compensation.

Retirement And Reimbursements Set Up

We pick the retirement plan your profit can support, and put a written accountable plan in place so the company pays you back for your phone, mileage and home office.

Monthly Books And Gusto Payroll

Our team runs tax-strategy-driven bookkeeping and Gusto payroll every month, so your salary, reimbursements and retirement contributions actually happen on schedule. Payroll setup is included.

Quarterly Check-Ins All Year

We meet every quarter as your revenue changes, and decide which purchases and income belong in this year and which in next while there's still time before December 31.

Returns Filed By The Same Team

We prepare the returns that carry the strategy through, with more than one level of review before filing, and we help if the IRS sends a notice about work we did.

Still On The Fence?

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to replace my current CPA?+
No. We coordinate with your existing CPA, EA or attorney. Many clients keep their current preparer for compliance and add Tax Square for the strategy and the follow-through. On the call, walk Mohsin through who does what today and you'll decide the right setup together.
Are strategies like the Augusta Rule or paying my kids actually legit?+
Done properly, yes. Each one is written into the tax rules on purpose, but each needs a real business reason, a fair rate and records made at the time. We only use what fits your business and your numbers, and the documentation is built into your monthly books as each move goes in.
Is it too late to do anything about this year?+
No, but some moves have a hard stop. Your salary has to run through payroll by December 31, and equipment has to be bought and put to work before year end. Certain retirement plans can still be opened and funded after New Year's, so we sort every move into before and after December 31 and do the first pile first.
What does it cost?+
Tax Square publishes its prices: a one-time $2,500 tax strategy, $350 to $750 a month for accounting and payroll based on volume and complexity, and returns from $750 for your personal return and $850 for the business return. Payroll setup, year-round implementation and IRS notice support on our work are included. You see your scope and fees before anything starts, and there's no long-term contract.
How fast will I see the savings?+
Some moves start working right away, like reimbursements and retirement contributions. Others, like an S-corp election, take 30 to 60 days to set up. The savings show up on the return we file for the year.
Who will I actually be working with?+
Mohsin Ali, the founder of Tax Square. He started his career at KPMG in 2008 and over the past 12+ years has prepared and reviewed thousands of tax returns in manager and partner roles across several firms. His team runs your monthly books and payroll.
Do I need to come into your office?+
No. We're based in Coppell, in Dallas-Fort Worth, and we meet owners in person at the office or over video, whichever suits you.
What happens on the strategy call?+
Mohsin asks about your entity, how many companies you own and who handles your books, payroll and filing, then looks at how this year is going and what's planned for next. He points to the blind spot most likely costing you money and tells you plainly whether $100K is realistic for your business.
